Wild in the Schief

The premise of Wild in the Schief was to hold a chill contest that was more like a good session with friends and to hand out prizes to the raddest dudes with the raddest moves.
Despite dark clouds in the morning and warnings of rain, the unpredictable Belgian weather system blessed us with bright sunshine at the Mont Des Arts on Saturday afternoon. Carhartt and 5-Boro provided boards and wheels, Ride All Day provided the grindbox and rail whilst the local supermarket provided cold beers.
With no timed runs or judges, it was up to the skaters and friends in attendance to decide who killed it the hardest. In the end it was Valentin Piret, JT Paridaens and Oli Bertrand who won in no particular order. 5-Boro/Carhartt rider Bram De Cleen managed to score some wheels for his homie Yassin by winning the impromptu game of S.K.A.T.E. and Gilles De Streel got the biggest cheers when he cleared 6 stacked boards. Big snaps.
Stay tuned to schief.be and wheelbite.be for info on the next comp coming soon to the streets near you.
Big thanks to Schief, Wheelbite, Carhartt, 5-Boro, Ride All Day and everyone who showed up.
